Power of Adult Education
Pathways offers intensive free classes to North Shore Adults with the goal of working with individuals to identify short and long term career goals and find a pathway to living wage employment.
According to the North Shore WIB, 70% of jobs in our area require post secondary training.
But 26,000 (or 38% of the Adult Population in Lynn) don’t have the skills necessary to participate in post-secondary training.
Median income in Lynn is $43,200 or 40% below the state median income; and the fifth lowest in Massachusetts.
19.3% of Lynn residents live below the Federal Poverty Guideline, almost twice the state average; making it the fourth highest poverty level in the state.
